5 ways to keep your cool

I have this article sent to me by my supervisor here at work and I thought this could shed some light to our dimmed minds caused by the fumes from the traffic jam we got caught in today.

This  would  give us 5 guidelines to control our emotions towards our better-halves, friends, office mates  and  all  the  people  around  us (if they’re bugging us), especially if your boss is the devil. I left parts in the local vernacular for the sake of my non-English speaking kababayans (local folks).

I did the last part in Tag-lish (tagalong-English). Just to add spice. Happy reading!

1   The first person who gets angry has the right to be angry.  So if the other person gets mad at you first, just keep your cool. Remember, Woosah!

Ang naunang magalit ang may karapatang magalit. Pag naunahan ka na ng  galit niya, tumahimik ka na lang muna.

2   It takes two to Tango.  If you don’t retaliate, then that nagging son-of-a-gun would eventually stop and declare a ceasefire.

Walang  taong  nag-aaway  mag-isa.  Pag hindi kayo sumagot o pumatol,  titigil din daw ang taong nakikipag- away sa inyo.

3   An angry person is dumb. A heated-up person won’t hear any reason that you’ll say. So, don’t try to explain and fight back. That someone won’t mind your side anyway, he can only hear and see his own righteousness.

Ang taong galit, ‘bingi.’ If someone is angry, wala raw pinakikinggan,  so,  don’t try to explain and fight back. Hindi ka niya iintindihin dahil  wala siyang naririnig kundi ang sarili nya.

4  According to a preacher, it is Biblical. Because the Lord said when He was dying on the cross, he prayed for some of those who crucified him “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” A modern term for them is wacko. So you better not be or you’ll be called as one also.

Ang  taong  galit, ‘abnoy.’ Ayon sa isang preacher, Biblical daw ito, because  the  Lord  said  when  He was crucified, “Father, patawarin mo sila dahil  hindi nila alam ang kanilang ginagawa.”  Modern  term  for these kinds of people are abnoys, so you better not get  angry para huwag kang matawag na abnoy.  An enraged person is a wacko.

5  You  should  also know and realize that the persons who make your day bad  are jewels, because you need them for you to mature.  Hangga’t andyan daw sila at kinaiinisan mo, ibig sabihin, immature ka pa.  God  will  not take away those people; it’s for you to take away your bad  feelings towards them.  You’ll  know  na  mature  ka  na  pag  dumating ‘yung time na hindi ka na  naiinis  sa  mga taong ito because you have learned to accept them and to  have patience with them.

Ultimately, it’s best to tell this to yourself: “Because of this person, I  will  be more  matured”. “Woosah!”
